So, ya, I'd say things are gettin' pretty serious.....
My inner nerd doesn't need a whole lot of push to come out and totally take over me, so naturally I took to this movie in the first 30 seconds. Positives: 1)The characters are so relatable, it's scary. I hung on every single word, action, and song from this movie. 2)Napoleon Dynamite is probably one of the best movies to quote in the world. I've heard just about every line quoted more than once and I usually laugh every time. 3)I don't even know if the acting in this movie was good or not. The dialogue was so random and funny that I'm not sure I would have noticed even if it was bad. 4)Napoleon's dance scene alone is enough for an individual positive. Great stuff! 5)It's great to have a low budget film with no added sex, gore, language, etc. that is majorly popular. 6)There are way too ... Feeling awkward, geeky, inadequate or odd? I'm in need a really good laugh at how human and silly I and other humans can be. This is a great movie for when a person may not be feeling too wonderful about their Self. It's a good movie to watch when you may be taking yourself too seriously. The filming is artful but not contrived; I felt I was watching a comedy documentary of a true life and about someone who actually exists. I love the characters, Napoleon and his brother for starters, and the storyline and some of the scenes -- like the one where Napoleon gets a job on a chicken farm -- are incredibly funny and made me blow my chocolate milk out my nose. This is FUNNY! Jon Heder playing Napoleon is great. It is so random and dumb, but that's what makes it hilarious. It was low budget, and was made for a film festival, not to be made in theaters and dvd. BUY IT! Or rent it.
