I had a large piece missing on the top hood, so I had to buy it. The lower hood and the most expensive was just cracked. I went on utube and learned how to repair cracked abs plastic with a soldering iron. It worked great, its much better than $268.00 for anew one. Thank you U tube.

I would recommend buying a used hood if your mower is several years old like mine is. Two reasons one is that if it is OEM then you know it will fit, and two is because it will have similar wear and paint fade so the item will match the rest of your mower. This hood works perfectly for me and looks like it came with the mower

Perfect match even on my 10+ year old JD. I thought there would be a color difference because of the age of my tractor but it matches perfectly. Fits perfect and was easy to install. My lawn tractor looks brand new. Now I just need to keep it away from my cow that jumped on the hood and broke it.

I thought replacing the hood on my LS160 would be an ordeal; it's not. Four screws and the old hood was off; same screws re-installed and the new hood fit perfectly. Apparently the sun baked and deteriorated the old hood which made it crack and break into pieces. Hopefully, this new hood will last another eight years. It appears sturdy and well engineered. Study the required parts before ordering. I thought that I'd have to replace all the parts down to the bumper. That's not necessary.

Great deal! Color matches fine. Took the old cracked one off and put this new one on. No problem at all. Fit like a glove. This is the lowest price I could find on ebay for this item.
