I have three of these recievers and this one I think is the best. A little complicated if you didn't know anything about surround sound or assigning ports, etc. If you do it has the best options, a great sound, and the best network capabilities in this class of system. There is a problems with there Pandora connections that Pioneer never fixed in this receiver. The computer control could have more effort put into it to make it as good as the cell phone control which I found to be excellent. If they added wifi and Bluetooth to this unit it would be perfect. They added that to the newer versions and simplified the setup for new users and produced a great quality unit. I still like my vsx1123 the best.

Very happy with it. Cons: Front panel is too dim. Cycle through Dim- faint- Almost Invisible- off- Dim (I Can use the on-TV display) No Remote supplied - but the ad said that specifically. I'm 65 and almost needed a microscope to read the front panel button to do a hard reset No wi-fi Not amps fault: My Harmony remote did not get all the commands. However it is still usable Pros: Work perfectly (apart from the display) Pristine condition Excellent sound through my Yamaha Monitor speakers Great value Ethernet

it is a brand new item, still in the factory box that is 6 years old. maybe that is why it was such a great price. It works perfectly. thank you.
