Everything about this game is awesome and good it is everything you could want in a video game. This one is definitely one of the greatest gba games ever one of the best looking, sounding, fun and memorable games in the video game industry period actually. The graphics are very colorful and stylish always looks great. the music is on point and gets you all tingly. The gameplay is intense, challenging, fast paced, with soldiers, tanks, choppers and paratroopers everywhere and will keep you with guns blazing from beginning to end but that's to be expected from any metal slug game right? always the same formula but always awesome entertainment. This is one of my favorite metal slugs and the only one that was ever on the mighty Gameboy advance now and forever of course but they definitely nailed it and did not disappoint. Oh my goodness what a game what a game an absolute must play and must own. The game really needs no intro if you haven't played it your just slow and you really missed out and I feel sorry for ya if you did. Metal Slug is an amazing game, the graphics are way above par considering the platform. This game is like Contra on steroids, but it is much more fast paced, your have an arsenal of weapons for your enjoyment, and also have access to tanks. Be prepared to get incredibly frustrated because this game gets extremely hard, who wants a game you can beat in 2 hours. Throughout game play you are rescuing hostages and can view all of them in your savable files. What is really cool is that if you get an e reader you can get game cards that enhance levels and weapons which adds greatly to replay value. I highly recommend this game to all plus it is one of the more rare titles so dont pass it up, it is worth buying.
The games graphics are amazing but there are very few levels. The gameplay is pretty good but I did experience lag when there was too much things on screen. The 100s of collectibles add extra things to do when you finish your game but are very hard to get. I would recommend this game to others

I love the Metal Slug series as the animation is superb for a 2-D game. This is a tough game and not for the faint-of-heart. The first two levels are pretty tough which only increases in difficulty from there. In order to keep players from just pressing continue throughout their adventure, the developers added and a card-collecting incentive into the mix. There are a total of 100 cards to collect. Some act as a power-up, while others are of the trophy type and do nothing. If you are of the "gotta-catch-em" all mentality, you will most likely try to play perfectly as if you should lose a life during a level, you will lose all of the cards that you picked up in that level. Aaarrgh!! The only problem I have with the game is that it lacks two players and contains only 5 levels (perhaps this is a good thing). It is still a must-buy and I recommend this game to all of my customers on a regular basis.Read full review
