This game is definitely worth playing. If you like horror movies, then I think you will like this game. While I didn't find it scary (I have yet to find a game that is), the game did a good job of portraying an eerie feel. The scenes that one reviewer called "delusional scenes" add to this feel and are scattered throughout the game. While starting off slow, I found myself immersed more and more as the game progressed. The ending of this game is one of the best I have seen. The AI is also fairly well written, unlike some games (remember R6: lockdown?). However, there are some bad things. The game starts off a little boring and starts to give you the impression this is just another quake or doom clone that has a couple modifications. Part of the reason for this is the maps in the beginning don't give you the feeling that your are in an real building because the path that you must travel is obvious and fairly confined. Walking along a forced path and shooting enemies that are triggered by passing certain points gets somewhat repetitive and boring. However, as the game progresses, I find it to get better. Another bad part is this game requires a computer with some muscle to truly see what this game has to offer. I had to run my game on some of the lower settings to keep it playable. However, I did turn up the settings occasional to see what it looked like, and I was impressed. The graphics and sound keep you immersed in the game. Despite the problems I mentioned, I would definitely recommend this game. I give it a 9/10.Read full review
I love this game!!! The interface, the feel, the emotion, the challenge, the creepiness.....the weapons I am not one for FPS games. I actually very much enjoy strategy based and RPG's. I recently had a bug to jump ship though and now I am hooked. I just did some searching for FPS slash creepy or ghost or paranormal and came up with FEAR. I was a bit hesitant as I say, not my usualy style so I was not sure what I was getting into. My system specs ASUS p6x58d-e--Windows Xp Pro 32 bit 12Gbts RAM 2-HD4650 ATI Saphirre (crossfire) i79503.06Mghz Creative x-fi ---not the most high line but decent and I still had to tone down some of the game specs to run fluid. not so much so that it compromised the look.... On a good system this game allows you to really be there with the character. The environment along with the music at times can suck you in so deep that there are moments in the game where I was just very reluctant to turn the corner...at times I even jumped. Extraction Point takes you right from the ending point of the first game FEAR. It throws you right back in the mix as all Hell breaks loose around you, again. The HUD control and feel in regards to the interfacing is the same. Music and environment, storyline and intensity are all still very much apart of this great expansion. If there is a complaint, it would be the AI of the enemies and the linear function of the game itself. There are some times when the bad guys can just sit there and present themselves as lame ducks. And the replay, well when it runs the same thing in the same way....although at times, this proved to be of benefit in overcoming some of the challenges. Also it helps that there are not too many alternative pathways around the structures the character is navigating. I got hooked with FEAR went right into Extraction Point. Plowed thru Perseus Mandate, enjoyed FEAR 2 although a somewhat different feal for that one, and am waiting with baited breath for the release of FEAR 3. Now that I have a tatse, my focus is on the FPS!!!!! I highly recommend Extraction Point for those who have just finished FEAR. If you like FEAR, you will very much like this expansion. Just as an FYI, if FEAR proved too much the same stuff over and over (which I can see) then Extraction Point might be a bit too much for you right away as it sends you back thru a lot of the same environment. But..if you liked the creepy feel of FEAR, hold on tight, you are in for a ride!!!Read full review
I haven't played it yet, but I did receive the product fast. I'm sure all is fine. The cds look great. If any issues arise; I will update. If no update is seen; then all was good. I just wanted to have all fear games for pc and game console. Now I have them. I'm happy for now.

This expansion pack is a continuation of the original game. I am still playing it and it is still very scarry and creepy just like the Original. The weapons seem to be a little more realistic sounding and the graphics are a little more better. All and all, it's just a continuation of the original F.E.A.R. Game. I have no bad comments on this product or game. It's very addicting to play and when it's over, you wish that it would keep going on. Now, on all the games that I play, I play at the Extreme Hardest Leve of game play that is offered. To get the full experience possible. But, a general rule is that all games were meant to be played at teh medium level. Why, I really don't know. But all games are played at there best at the medium game play level. Most people I know, stat at the easiest level to learn all the levels of the game and then re-start the game at the medium level and once completed, re-start the game at the hard level and so on, and so. I just like to play all my game at the highest and extreme levels. It take me alot longer to play, but I dont' mind. I hope my review is very helpful. If you were addicted to the original F.E.A.R. than this Expansion Pack is a must. Take care and Peace Out!Read full review
You're walking through a corridor with almost no light... hearing only your steps and your deep breathing and heartbeat and suddenly... a glass is broken by a dead torn body full of blood and hear running away steps and a child's laugh in the dark... This is part of this intense game of action, shooting, tension and suspense that XBOX 360 has in their huge collection. The gaming is excellent (no matter if you can sometimes predict what's next), graphics are superb, the realism of the shooting and gore are unique, the sounds and suspense themes are very scary (I didn't like to play it with the light off), the scenes and developement of the action are precise, etc. etc. etc. The weapons selections are superb and their detailing in every single aspect is very, very good!!!! Do you have F.E.A.R. to play it???Read full review
