On each mission, legendary samurai and allies will serve as your guide. Prevent pirates from invading your ships, rescue maidens from a burning castle, and explore mysterious caverns stalked by ninjas. These and many more challenging missions require quick reflexes, fast thinking, and precision marksmanship. On the battlefield ninja assassins will be poised to strike at your every turn, but with close-range and long-range weapons, you'll be well equipped for your counterattack. Combat gets up close and personal with the classic samurai sword, spear, and mighty war hammer, but you can still target enemy soldiers in the distance using a bow and arrow, a gun, and even a cannon. Samurai Warriors: Katana offers three different modes of play. Action-packed with nearly 30 hours of game play, Musou Mode takes you on an incredible adventure through Feudal Japan. Samurai-in-training can prepare for battle with a multitude of challenges in Trial Mode. Here you'll earn gold which can be used to purchase weapons and precious items. And in Vs. Mode, you can go head-to-head with a friend in eight exciting mini games. Samurai Warriors: Katana has three difficulty levels for players of all skill levels, and is for up to 2 players (in Vs. mode). This game features Dolby Pro Logic II audio.Read full review
Holy cow! What a workout! I was playing this late at night when my wife walked out into the living room and saw me killing all the enemy! I was dripping with sweat. It takes alot of action to kill them. Loads of fun. I'm thinking maybe a slower game for me next time though (like pac-man). Love the game and great for the kids. Especially if they need to get rid of some of their built up energy. Play and have fun! Oh yeah, it is usually price real good so worth it!
I just got this game and wow im worn out!!! If you are a fan of any of the dynasty warriors then you will absolutely love this game!!! Your use of remote and nunchuck is awesome!! You have to swing and aim and shake and its way better the "thumb play" with other systems and controllers!!! You will never be bored with this game and fighting Samari's and Ninja's is almost like the real thing(key word ALMOST) Good times for sure!!!
Well first to start off, I didn't buy it for me. My husband kept talking about wanting to try it when it came out. I saw it on e-bay and decided to get it for him before Blockbuster came out with it. He played it as soon as I got it and he loves it. He plays it all the time, he's determined to finish the game. I think the only thing thats bothering him about the game is that he can't finish it as fast as any other game he played. But at least he can play the game longer then a week without finishing it first.
It is a good game, but I expected more. Specially concerning on character movement. I thought the player would be able to move using the Nunchuck, like other first-person games (Call of Duty, etc), but instead, you only move from one scene to another, and automaticly. The whole fighting is nice, but the movements are not so precise. And there's no blood when you tear your oponnents apart.
