It plays like Age of Empires, but has all Star Wars charactors, what could be better. It has all the elements and classic battles that all Star Wars fans have grown to love. The basics are simple, collect enough resources to build your empire to the point where you are strong enough to pummel your opponents into submission. Sorry if it's not a good review, but look up any review about Age of Empires and then add in Star Wars and Whammo instant success.
This is a great game for the Star Wars fan that also loves ages of empires. In the expansion you get to play the Clone Wars portion of the battleground series. There are several scenarios where you can be the Seperatists or the Republic. This also incorporates Jedi and has a good campaign for the jedi. This game gives you the chance to gather, manage and build resources necessary to win the game. It is great fun for anyone who likes the Age of Empires engine. So you don't even necessarily need to be a Star Wars fan. Definately worth purchasing.
It's a good addition to the original game. I was dissapointed in the amount of additional levels. There are only two extra campaigns with about 7 missions in each campaign. I beat them in a couple of weeks with only minimal playing time. I am impressed that the expansion pack has improved the previous campaigns with new animals and power-ups. I would say it was worth the money.
Fun to play. Brings back memories
