I think it's cool the way they integrate the wiimote into the gun. the actual gun is light weight but more comfortable than using the wiimote alone. Also the gun works with another game I have resident evil dark side chronicles: in this game the wiimote gets my arm tired the gun should make it more fun. fyi: I had to adjust settings in the game to make it track the gun movement better. no biggie. I also think it would be comfortable in nintendo lands zelda game. As far as the links crossbow game it's actually pretty fun. If you liked twilight princess then it's set in the same game. obviously dated graphics but still very fun. The high score is good but the environments are fun too: you get to go through an enemy camp snipe shooting the bad guys and their are multiple rail type shooter stages in different areas of twilight princess. I got it for $13 well worth it!Read full review

I have purchased several wii games in the past in an attempt to find some that my handicapped son (Autistic) would play interactive with me. Links Crossbow Training has fit the bill. He enjoys playing with me and also showing me his ability to preform by himself. There are few games that he will play with anyone, especially his dad. As for the game itself. It is a roll play shooter game with you being able to see the shooter and not just the weapon. the are three modes to play in. A practice mode to perfect your aim and speed from target to target and a combat mode to play against attacking monsters and a multi-player mode. It seems to depend a great deal on where you set the aim point and speed of the cursor (crossbow sights). there is an icon on the screen to set the height and speed. One of the modes gives you a score to beat to access a higher level. It starts at 1-1 and goes through 3-3. If you score high enough on these levels you get to go to 4-1 and so on, but its not easy. Like the games says its Crossbow Training. Learning when to shoot and accuracy is stressed as hitting consectative targets score more than random shooting and missing. For instance hit the first target and get 10 points, hit the next without missing in between and get 10 x 2, next 10 x 3 and so on till you miss or run out of targets. Accurate shooting gives much larger scores. I enjoyed it and would rate it at 4 to 5 stars, on a 1-5 scale. I also purchased a control holder that looks like a pistol to make it a little more interesting. The controller fits into it and plugs in. It requires a numchuk to be pluged into the controler. You can move and shoot at the same time with it, although you can do the same with the add on gun. Controller and numchuk work just fine without it.Read full review
Loaded up the old save files I had on my console and played the night away with this baby. Haven't played it in eight+ years, my kid self didn't have any progress made with only bronze medals. But as an adult I can finally enjoy the game to its fullest, play each level to earn platinum medals and achieve ridiculous scores. If you've never played this game you are missing out on the true capability of motion controls. Makes you feel like you have an old style arcade machine with zapper gun in your hand. With each giving a promising challenge you will try learn how to master the crossbow such as link has over his many life's.

The Wii Zapper plus Link's Crossbow Training is quite a deal, but only if you buy it in a brick and mortar store! The "Zapper" part is just a study piece of plastic that houses the Wii remote and nunchuck together. Both pieces fit very well, and you can pull a trigger that presses the "B" button on the remote. It fits well in your hands and seems to make aiming easier, but this could depend on where you place your sensor bar. The cord between the nunchuck and remote can be wrapped around inside the handle of the zapper, which makes it even easier to use. The game, Link's Crossbow Training is great fun, although it is quite short. You'll have a great time shooting everything, moving around, hunting down enemies, etc. It is fast paced, and should prepare you well for any future titles that use the Zapper. The only downside is that there is no real multiplayer to the game; instead, you can just pass around one controller between turns. Don't buy the Zapper on ebay! First off, the cheap knockoffs don't even include the game, and cost the same as buying one in a store. Second, the official Zapper and game retails for around $20 - $25; half the price of ebay auctions plus shipping! I have had no trouble finding the official Zapper in major discount department stores, gaming stores, or electronics stores. Don't believe the ebay auctions that claim the Zapper is "hard to find." If you can't find it today, wait until Sunday, and you'll probably be able to find it at every store you vist - I did! P.S. The only people who will mark this review as "not helpful" are the ones who are making a killing off you people on ebay! Buy it in a store and save yourself $20!Read full review
It’s just that I had such a good time playing the game with family but one issue and you might agree with is that it’s quite short easy to finish in less than 1 or 2 hours
