I've been playing Sim games since the original SimCity many moons ago, but The Sims 2 is by far my favorite game, and the one that is the most addicting. The graphics are great, and if you spend enough time on it, you can create characters that mirror almost perfect images of people in your real life. Technology just keeps getting more amazing every day. My only problem is that even with a brand new MacBook Pro, the game will run slow, have glitches, and shut down occassionally. I had the same problem when I played it on PC, but just assumed it was bcause of a slow processor. In short, this game is incredibly enjoyable, but have patience, because on almost any system (with the exception of personally built gaming system computers I would imagine) it wll probably run slow at time because the game is just so intricate and fantastic. Double-edged sword, I suppose.Read full review
This game is good, not great. I was a big fan of the original Sims for PC, and it's expansion packs. I tried to resist buying Sims 2, but couldn't. I went out and got the Sims 2 and some expansion packs, costing over $100. Built a house, played around a bit, sold the game. It is the original Sims with better graphics, and a some new features. I just wasn't impressed with it. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, and enjoyable for awhile, but nothing making it worth over $100 with expansions.
Hey, it's the Sims 2, arguably the best sims game. They are quite awful to look at but you get used to it. You get acc info quickly after purchasing, have had no problems.

I am a HUGE fan of the SIMS 2. I played the SIMS 1 when it was out also. If you're looking for a game that will entertain you for hours and hours, then this is the game for you. The graphics are very good. A few downfalls to the SIMS 2: Loading Screens - Loading screens are the worst part of this game. For every expansion pack there is probably a loading screen to go with it. There is a loading screen from a specific house to a neighborhood, from the create-a-character screen to the neighborhood view, etc. Price - The game is NOT an unreasonable price, but for every expansion pack they create you have to shell out another $20-$50. Overall, the SIMS is fun and exciting.
In The Sims 2, your Sims will be more lifelike, more responsive, and more complex than ever before. You'll be able to control your Sims over their entire lifetimes, taking them from their first steps to their golden years. Guide them through "Life's Big Moments" and build their "Life Score" with every decision you make. And since every Sim will have its own DNA, their appearance and personality will be passed down through the generations. Life in The Sims 2 will take on a whole different dimension with our entirely new 3-D engine.
