I LOVED Deadrising so when I heard that there was a second in the series, I knew I had to get it. When I finally got it in the mail, I quickly opened the shipping box to find a relatively large box as far as xbox games go. Once you open up the game, you will find not only the game itself in a metal case, but you'll find a nice assortment of zombrex reading material and a REAL DOSE OF ZOMBREX! Not really, but you will find a pen that looks like it could be with a zombrex brand band aid. As far as gameplay goes, it is quite similar to Case Zero if you happened to have downloaded that a little while back off of the xbox marketplace. I have just started to get into the game, but from what I can tell it is a solid quality game with great zombie graphics and seems to keep pretty true to that almost arcade like, open range feel that the first one and Case Zero shared. I didnt really find anything gameplay wise at all that I disliked. I would recommend this game to anyone who really liked the last in the series and wants to get a little more fun stuff with it rather than just getting the regular edition.Read full review
To be honest, the first Dead Rising never peaked my interest much more than going out into the mall or parking structures to kill zombies. But this sequel has, by far, outdone the original. I enjoy the story line, the psychopaths are fun and frustrating. It's no longer about having to take photo's, just kicking some a$$. Online play is lagless. I have had no problems online other than finding a match, if I search for a match at the right time I have no problem. Though, I should mention this, I can go to a friend's house who has a better IP and he finds matches right away. So it's only my bad luck there. And not to mention that ranked matches only give you money to spend in the game to just blow. Combination weapons are hilarious. I mean, hilarious! Especially when the most powerful ones are the most absurd. Ie: Electric/weaponized wheelchair (wheelchair+battery+SMGorLMG) I have became addicted to this game. And no doubt will play it until I have beat every aspect of it even the 54,000+ zombie kills achievement. if you're addicted to 1st shooter's it's probably not for you, but then I am 9/10 times a 1st shooter kinda guy, but this game won me over. I recommend to always get the free demo's off xbox live before purchasing a game, but I think virtually anyone would be happy with this game.Read full review
I guess starting off, if you like zombie games, you are in one of two camps. Left for Dead series or Dead Rising series. From the reviews i've read, there is not much middle ground. You either love Left for Dead or Dead Rising.I will not draw comparisons because they are two totally different games. That being said, lets review Dead Rising 2. First the good. This game is bigger, more area, more zombies, more weapons and friends to play with thanks to online play.Playing with a friend makes this game alot more fun for doing the story or just messing around as well.Taking pictures is gone and replaced with the combo system which lets you combine two different items to make a more powerful weapon to use on the undead. The zombies seem to me more intense this time around. This can easily be a 60+ hour game cause there is just so much to do you can't do everything in one play through. The online part where you play TIR is pretty fun and entertaining as well. The not as good. The Xbox 360 version tends to bog down with more zombies on the screen and frame rate tends to drop a bit at times. This does not happen that often so it's not something that gets bothersome or hurts your playing. The story line is pretty late night B movie rated, but then again if you bought it just for the story line...Like i said above, the area is huge so it does take awhile to get from place to place if you haven't unlocked some cars and motorcycles and shortcuts. And fighting through double the amount of zombies adds some challenge to it as well. The bottom line. This game is about killing zombies.Lots of zombies, lots and LOTS of zombies in as many over the top different ways as possible. If you are a fan of the first one, you will be more than satisfied with this one and it's prequel and the newest download Case West that takes place right after the events of Fortune City and team up with Frank West from the first one.If this is your first time with the game, not a bad way to start. I highly recommend picking this up.Read full review
It's a very good game, since I was a teenager I wanted to have this edition in my hands.
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
True gamers like myself are kinda weird.Special Editions in games are nothing more than a way to waste your money. That doesn't matter to me anyway..I prefer steel cases over the plastic any day. Throw in an artbook, statue, DLC...and it's Baller Time!
