Nothing like that sense of dread of what lies in the next room. I've already died so many times in this game, even as I try to pad my character with some early game farming for what lies ahead. And I love it. Soon I'll be pressing forward to discover all of the incredible areas and ridiculous difficulties of this game and I'm excited for it! I will say that I have encountered a few bogus hit boxes (and reworked my tactics around them) and I know that this game lacks some of the grandeur of the original, but it holds up its own identity and is a great souls game (so far).

This game is good. Its creative, visually impressive, and in a lot of ways, smart with its assets. But its just so obnoxiously difficult. I want more story and less agitating grind-work. The bosses are amazing, but they're sometimes easier to beat than the stupid swarms of grunts that precede them. If you want to dump 80 hours into an anger fest and trash a few controllers on the way, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, just grab something with a legitimate narrative and investment in the story.

scholar of the first sin was completely remade from the original dark souls 2 in order to increase the graphics, remove glitches and add extra content. its been a great game to play over and over again cause it has different classes and theres always something new i havent seen before

As with all the DS games, this one is very challenging at first. But you quickly build up a character of your own devising. Game itself has some frustrating changes from the original, but overall it's a great play and definitely worth getting!
