The second game in the Power of Chaos series of Yu-Gi-Oh games for the PC, Kaiba the Revenge features an updated wealth of cards, smooth, streamlined graphics, and a wide array of music and sound effects provided by Kaiba's English voice actor, Eric Stuart. There are also several colored manga-style graphics (similar to those on the cover) that accompany various in-game events. However, buyer beware-- the game does not have an updated version of Yugi the Destiny 2.0 on the CD, nor does Konami have such a game available for download or purchase. Likely plans were made, but fell through, so the manual that comes with KTR was misprinted. The bonus side of this is that you DO get to keep all the cards you started with and/or won in Yugi the Destiny, so Kaiba the Revenge is a game best played after you've played YTD several times, won a variety of cards, and are bored with duels in that game. Compared with its sequel, Joey the Passion, this game is fun, but limited in capabilities. However, unlike the Yu-Gi-Oh video games for the consoles and portable playing units, this one for the PC accurately replicates card graphics and rulings; players of the English TCG will have a breeze playing this game, as they will be well aware of the cards, restrictions, and moves. Like his anime and manga counterpart, Kaiba's signature card is that of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, but he can also surprise you with a wealth of cards not seen anywhere but the actual TCG! He's a challenging opponent, but it's a great game to play, whether you're a casual TCG gamer or a world champion.Read full review
Man this game is Great! I never get tired of playing it! Really love the graphics and animation, esspecially when Exodia is summoned! Background Kaiba is once again out to try and prove that he's the best duelist in the world and he'll go to any length to try and achieve that. But as usual, little Yugi is standing in his way and is determined to stop Kaiba. Featuring many cards from the popular TV show, this game is definitely one for avid fans of the series. Gameplay As players take on a CPU-controlled Kaiba, they must use combinations of the monster, trap and spell cards they are dealt to defeat their opponent. Each card is lavishly illustrated and also contains information on their relative strengths and weaknesses, while a simple interface makes the combination of monsters and spells or the positioning of traps extremely easy, allowing the player to concentrate on the intricacies of card duelling. Features Sequel to the best selling Power of Chaos: Yugi the Destiny Take a computer controlled Kaiba for the ultimate challenge Amazing graphics and lavishly illustrated cards Over 450 different cards to collect and play Hardware Requirements Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows 98 450MHZ Pentium II or equal 128 MB RAM CD-ROM Direct X 8.1 compatible Sound Card Direct X 8.1 compatible Graphics Card Direct X 8.1 645 MB Diskspace International releaseRead full review
I am a big Yu-Gi-Oh fan. I played most of the games for GBA and Playstation 2 and I have the other two titles in the Chaos series for PC. The Kaiba game is very challenging. The graphics and music are awesome and the gameplay is relaxing and stimulating at the same time. This one is harder to beat then both the Yu-Gi-Oh and Joey games.
The game is fun to play but sometimes it gets hard to win....There are times when you get bored of playing because it's not like you get to go into different levels or anything like that...The Joey game is much more fun....So if ther is anyone out there that likes Yu-GI-Oh try the Joey game.....You get to level up in that game at least...You win different cards....
It has a good storyline and my son talks about how awesome it is.
