Coming from a huge fan of the Dynasty Warriors series, this game is just... painful to play. After getting a 100% on DW7, I needed more of it and despite all the terrible reviews on the internet, got this game real cheap on ebay. Big mistake!! Got bored of it after a day. It's exactly a Conquest mode, renamed "Legend mode". The lack of innovation, lack of cutscenes, the childishness of conversations, the pointless new characters... Do yourself a favour, Dynasty Warriors 7 Xtreme Legends is an utter joke!! Avoid at all costs!!

Xtreme Legends, though, is a proposition only for the hardcore Warriors fan or at a bargain basement price. With the original Dynasty Warriors 7 now reduced, picking up this package that arguably has less compelling content and asks for the original disc for some of its modes seems crazy. If you're just looking for some mindless hacking and slashing, though, this'll do fine.
