This album is a thrash-metal masterpiece from the very early 1990s when Houston, Texas actually had a music scene. And that's precisely when I moved to Houston (1992). I was introduced to Dead Horse (not the band members themselves, but a CD) within weeks of my arrival, and was blown away by the shear "fun" of this album. These guys pack a punch and aren't afraid to be funny/goofy at the same time. Awesome riffs, great growling vocals that are clear enough to understand almost every word, great artwork, just great stuff! A very enjoyable album from start to finish. Including an awesome cover of the B-52s "Rock Lobster."
Chicago’s Demented Ted plays a garden variety of different Death Metal styles while maintaining a basic concept but never extending into the realms of non-metal novelty sub-genres. A very distinct sound is established and carried through the entire album.
