I received a mere copy of the hanger shown. The picture actually shows a better version of the same hanger. All parts are different, starting from the wooden base . The picture shows beech with some sort of finish, received unfinished pine - much softer wood - with very rough edges. The fork has different caps, different wrapper material. The picture shows some sort of rubber piping, mine has cheap plastic foam. The most problematic part is however the assembly. The wooden base comes detached. The rod that goes into the wooden base is a long bolt wrapped in the same foam. There's a nut on the end of the rod but the hole in the wood does not accommodate rod diameter and there's no cavity on the rear of the base for the large nut. If you try to assemble it you get a nut between the wall and the hanger. The nut shown on the picture is a special type nut that gets stuck in the wood. I've got a regular metal nut. The wooden part requires routing and even when it's done the width of the base and the softness of the pine makes for a very loose joint. Your guitar will FALL ON A FLOOR one day and that's not what you probably want. AVOID IT. Of course, you may receive a different version of the item and it'll be fine.Read full review

Where do I start? One of the 2 wood bases I ordered had not been miter cut on the shorter sides, like other one. Had to cut with a table saw to correct. The bolt hole was too small for the hanger bolt to pass through. Had to drill out larger. The back bolt hole needs to be counter sunk so that the nut sits flush with the back, thus allowing the item to attach to the wall correctly. Without counter-sinking, one would need to make a big hole in the wall to hang with the nut/bolt on the wooden surface rather than counter sunk. The item photo appears to show the wood with a finish. Wood base was unfinished. Need to apply polyurethane to finish.

The guitar holder is nothing like the picture. It's literally a block of wood, tapered, with hole drilled in it. No metal backing for the yoke to screw into, just a drilled wooden hole. The yoke it's self is nothing like the picture with the metal adjustable screw neck. It's simply a peice of round stock welded to the other peice to cradle the guitar. The Styrofoam is cute uneven from side to side and even the cut lines weren't straight (not that it mattered). I wouldn't hang a $100 guitar from these not to mention anything valuable. Definitely do not buy these unless it's a gift to someone you dislike very much.

Hi! It is a nice product for the price.. 2 reasons I don't give 5 stars: 1) If necessary I would have pay $0,50 more per unit to have it varnish 2) It is difficult to screw the bracket in the wood base. I will tap the wood before to screw the bracket. It will be tight and solid. Other wise this holder is a solid 4 stars! Thank you!
