I bought album because her first 3 or 4 albums were excellent. Now her decline to mediocrity continues as she has completely abandoned her deep, rich, southern, soulfull, sexy voice and has gone pop. Her change of music is complete with her new blonde hairdo and all I can say is what a waste. It seems that she has betrayed her fans and herself and has forgotten the lyrics to "I'll break before I'll bend". A total disapointment.
The album is the first I've listened to from Allison Moorer. This is a great album. Allison is a fantastic singer with a powerful, gripping voice. I really enjoyed the first song; it was a great way to open the album. The songs kept getting better. Extremely well-written and performed. Now, I'm hooked on her music, so much so that I'm going to go see her and her husband (music legend Steve Earle) in concert next month!
Love her and her beautiful voice. Highly recommended every CD Allison has made. I have them all and continue to listen to them. Never tire of her talent.
