These two pickups, Seymour duncan JB and 59' neck match really well. The JB is a high output pickup and 59' is a little lower in output. JB has cutting mids and is great for very heavy music but the 59' is sweeter sounding and sounds great for softer music. But it can sound good for heavy music too. I think it's just more versatile, having lower output. Both are popular pickups so all I have to say is that they stand up to their famous identity.

I had an older set in my toolbox, and I thought I'd try them out on a no name Les Paul copy I picked up for under $250 recently. I installed plain chrome covers over them with no screw holes, and when I plugged it in to test the wiring and pots it nearly blew me away.. I had a Gibson SG Standard awhile back, and this guitar sounds better. These Pups really stand out, I highly recommend them.
