Stays on the window well, lets a lot of different birds get to the food (they have to take turns) while protected from wind from all sides. Because of the closed sides and top, the food doesn't blow on in the wind, either. I have used this type of window feeder for many years and like it a lot. Since I have a few feeders on my deck, the birds aren't nervous about coming to get food right at the window.

So I can understand the design aspect of this bird feeder, being all transparent, and also, having no backside (open, against the window surface), however I think the overall quality make me want to say that this product is not recommended by me. 1) There are numerous holes, at the bottom of the bird feeder, making small seeds fall out obviously. The holes might be intended to allow water to drip out of the box, but having this just below the slightly drooped bottom side, is not very good. 2) The "small bird feeder" is rather large. Only indicated with photo number 2 in the sales listing. Otherwise, the sales listing will likely make you think this is a small bird feeder, not just, a bird feeder for small birds. 3) Evaluated as "good value" for not being over priced, though, having to pay shipping for this makes my "good value" note only nearly so. 4) One of the two bird feeders I ordered had a broken pin, which has to be glued somehow in order to fix the issue. Possibly, this issue can be ignored, as the whole thing won't fall apart because of this broken pin. 5) Although the slight overhang possibly might make dissuade larger birds not want to try access the bird feeder, the large size of this bird feeder, probably makes it attractive for larger birds, contrary to the sales listing if that turns out to be the case. 6) There are three pins on top side, but only two pins at the bottom side, holding two pieces of transparent plastic together. This is imo not good enough. 7) Adding some tape to cover all the existing bottom holes (elongated holes), might help prevent seeds from falling out, and instead rely on drilling some new holes, for water to drip out from the box.Read full review

I love that these window feeders have an extra overhang at the top for greater protection for the feed from the weather; HOWEVER it would be nice if they had a slide out drawer to change the bird feed. I hope you will put in the effort to put a drawer in the bottom, while keeping the nice overhang feature at the top. Thanks, Elmer

I bought this Window Bird Feeder as a gift for one of my co-worders and I installed in on the recipient's window and filled it with bird seed. I then closed the curtain, so no one would see the feeder until the curtain was opened. When the Birthday Person opened the curtain, he was surprised and delighted by the birds in the feeder. He was very glad to learn that the seed stayed dry even when we had some strong rain. He liked the feeder so much, he bought one for his home and he and his wife are enjoying that one, too!

It's deffinately perfect for what I wanted it for. I glued the bottom together just to make sure the plastic wouldn't come apart with the winds and rain in Eastern MA. It's perfect for my companies office, I love watching the birds come in and out and what looks like arguing to get some food. Price was right for the product.
