For my own personal uses, when I compare this phone to the Android's Flagship at the time of this device's release, the Samsung Galaxy S7 which was and still is cheaper. It pales in miserable comparisons. My main focus for a mobile device is making calls, doing video chats, and taking pictures and videos of whatever catches my eyes. In terms of speed the S7 totally beats the iP7+ , as to go right into the camera, I just have to double tap the power button. And it takes all but 1 second total to initiate the app and focus. The iP7 doesn't have that, I have to wake the device up then swipe left to pull up the camera which then takes about 1-2 seconds to initiate itself, then another 1-2 seconds to focus. Next up is overall visual quality in low light settings. both have grainy artifacting in play when taking low light images, however the S7 has by far less grainy artifacts and more contrast between the "darkness" where as the iphone would have blue's mixed in with the darkness and overall more artifacting and graininess. Now that all being said, the front facing camera does seem better on the iP7+ than it does on the S7, also to the receiver, it seemed the video was smoother on than on the S7 for both apps tested, I used Facebook's Messenger and Microsoft's Skype app to test the video chat. Overall I'm going to have to say you get a whole lot more bang for your buck for simply going with a flagship android device if you're just looking for general activity features and ofcourse to use it as a phone. If all of your friends has an iPhone, then it may be best to get an iPhone simply for that reason as there will be many activites you won't be able to do on an Android when communicating with an iOS user. For example Facetime is an iOS only activity, it's loads better than using Skype or Messenger but given my friends and family are a mix of iOS and Android users, that's not a big enough bargaining chip for me. That being said, to me, it's like a device people simply get because it makes them feel rich or to elevate their personal status among friends. And or to elevate their professional status among colleagues. Or simply because of the Hype train. I also used to work at an Apple Repair warehouse and I can say the staff they hire through a temp agency are a mix bag, they'll take anyone as long as they can pass a drug test, background checks only go back as far as a year. Some people have said they buy iPhones because of the excellent quality control. If they only knew the mess that truly goes on in those repair conveyor lines.... RegardsRead full review
