This small vacuum cleaner works great. Great suction and light weight. Putting it together was a bit troublesome although it seemed very easy at first glance. I think problem is the book that came with it since it didn’t have the list of what everything is and no step by step directions. I used Dyson website. Due to my shoulder problems I can’t use heavy vacuums so I tried to find a lightweight one which I did! The only problem with this vacuum is that it’s not something you can have for years to come. It’s all made with plastic which explains the light weight. It doesn’t look very sturdy but did a great job picking up the dog hair from my wood floor and carpeted areas.

I have enjoyed my previous Dyson vacuums but this model is a dud. It is extremely noisy; with a loud squeal coming from the machine most of the time it is being used. The vacuum itself is very flimsy. The cleaning tube does not come out properly without several people tugging on it. Such a poor design. I convinced my mother to purchase this model because of my experience with Dyson. The quality of this particular Dyson is subpar. She is unable to use it. It doesn't lock well in place - the upright will just collapse. I have to do all the vacuuming. She is forced to continue using her old machine. I should have returned it but returning is not my thing. Instead I am left not knowing if I will purchase Dyson again in the future. I grew up with a mother who was a Electrolux user, and swore by them. I looked at those, and the cost for the performance was ridiculous. I've worked at multiple places that I sold these units to others and I always said that I need to get a dyson. I have 4 cats and all have long hair, and it's everywhere. Lol. So I need to vacuum regularly and all of the units in have had don't get everything done. This vacuum cleaner is absolutely amazing and I can't believe that I waited so long to get a dyson. It's powerful and easy-to-use, and doesn't shred fine items like the fringe on oriental rugs. It picks up everything you need, and is quiet enough to make it enjoyable. I love the way you can genuinely move directly from carpet, hard wood floors, and tile to thick carpets and never lose suction or results of getting up the dirt. The only thing I can think of that would be great, is if the canister was larger. It fills up quickly, especially considering how efficient the suction is. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and it has to be emptied 2 times, sometimes 3 if I haven't vacuumed in a few days. I recommend this product to anyone who has pets, or wants to know that they truly cleaned their house. Never owned a Dyson, and now I know that I will never own anything else. Happy vacuuming. Product is very easy to use, light weight and has the wonderful suction that i expect from Dyson. However when vacuuming the floors, the handle tends to pull up and out of back of vacuum. This is very frustrating and each time, I have to stop vacuuming and slide the handle back in. This is our third Dyson vacuum. Generally, I am very pleased with the performance but this little one needs so rethinking when it comes to the handle.

Very light easy to use. Only comments are it doesn't pick up larger things like leaves unless you use the hose. Also interesting that while 4 tools are provided, only 2 can be stored on board. But these are minor issues...great vacuum very light and works eell
