About this product

Product Information

Ron Guth

The 1943-D Jefferson Nickel is the most common of all the War-time "Silver" issues. Thus, collectors have thousands of high-grade Mint State examples from which to choose, including hundreds in MS-67. The quality of the 1943-D Nickels is excellent. In fact, this is one of the rare instances where the Full Step population exceeds that of the non-Full Steps. The finest examples certified by PCGS (as of February 2012) include 137 MS-67 non-Full Steps and 2 MS-68 Full Steps.

    1943 D Silver War Nickel

Collectors need to zoom on all-the Silver War Nickel From all 3 mints even the ms 66 ms 68 don’t have full steps if you collect the silver war nickel most with full steps have been re struck Not a lot of FS Full Step Silver War Nickels are graded with the FS Full Step Destination the Silver Swirls & Full Step War Nickels Are found if you find 1 & you collect this specific Jefferson & raw un graded you need to buy Cleaned coins is a chance you take but I have never seen any jewlery made with silver Jefferson’s with out full steps much less with if they grade out you go from a $10.00 coin to a $500 coin Beautiful Jefferson Nickels Yep Over $100 for variety but that’s what a real collector looks for

  • nice war nickel

Pretty difficult to find a really nice war nickel for a type set. The softer metal led to bag marks and quick wear. Happy to add this one for the right price
