There is an original version that was more entertaining. The special effects on the 2018 version is nice but you can't make a bad movie that much better with just graphics. IMO this version is a story underdeveloped, poorly cast and poorly directed. Coming from Disney, I expected much more. It is probably OK for kids to watch but I think most adults will find it tedious to watch and boring. If you like the book, find the old Disney production from 2003. No super fancy graphics but much more entertaining.
