I have been playing with these for about a month. I initially ordered (2) for evaluation and have since ordered (15) more. I expect to order another (5) or (10). There was a previous review that reported issues at lower ambient temperatures. I currently have one in a deep freezer at -10F to test that, but so far have not seen any issues. 24 hours after the test has started: Video feed looks good. Zoom and focus are operating. IR lights are working. For what it's worth I did set the "Defog" option to Auto under Camera->Conditions->Defog. I plan on using these indoors and outdoors. The original pair that I have been playing with have been outdoors where they are exposed to rain. No issues to report as expected. Ideally the IR lights would adjust their angle to match the camera's viewing angle, but for my situation it is not a big deal since most areas are already lit. I doubt that higher end cameras have this feature. I have several areas where it would not be feasible to install the cameras for an optimal view with a "normal" camera. The zoom lens makes it great for these situations. Even in areas where a normal camera would be sufficient it allows you to fine tune the view after installation so you can put the camera where it makes most sense. The lack of support on Dahua's website is concerning. These cameras appear to be intended for the Chinese market. I have these cameras blocked on my firewall just in case they try to do something bad. I have used these on several different POE switches and have yet to find one that didn't work. Some examples of POE switches that I have used: Linksys LGS124P, Linksys LGS116P, Netgear JGS516PE-100NAS, D-Link DES-1228P I am using these with Blue Iris. The (2) original cameras have some motion tearing. They are on a potentially shady network (ethernet over powerline adapters between main gigabit switch and remote gigabit POE switch). I have not seen this issue with the other cameras on normal POE switches.Read full review

the one I received it's constantly lost the video when the weather is bellow 45 degrees from the outside but when I leave it inside the house is working ok. maybe it's ok where you never get bellow 45 degrees or use it as indoor. easy setup and video quality is good

Very nice camera with superior audio and smooth ptz operation. Image quality is excellent, but the low light sensitivity needs an adjustable threshold, as it continually switches the ir cut during low light. Also, the main app - easy4ip is no longer available in play store. Overall camera quality lives up to the dahua name, but software needs a facelift.

Easy to setup and install, works great with ie, nvr and phone app. Housing is metal and sd card slot is a plus. This model has a lot of software features, autofocus is neat. This is for experienced techie, it is a high quality security camera, larger than most but you can't beat the price

The quality appears to be on par with Hikvision.. I have it running in a mixed group of cameras on a Hikvision NVR at a farm..
