I loved this book, as I am crazy about many of Linda Howard's books. I bought it because I have enjoyed it for many years and needed to replace the old copy. The story of Sarah and Rome had me in tears from the first chapter. I was sympathetic for the plight of Sarah, who was torn between love and friendship for the man whose wife (her best friend)and sons had died in a tragic accident. The struggles that both Sarah and Rome went through in this story made me both frustrated (when Rome wouldn't accept Sarah's pregnancy) and relief (when he finally accepted his daughter and allowed himself to let go of the past). The book keeps your interest from beginning to end. Well done, Linda!
