Pros: One of the few small & bright LED flashlights which: (1) runs well with user choice of 3 different batteries: (a) rechargeable 1.2 VDC Sanyo Ni-Mh through (b) rechargeable 3.7 VDC Li-Ion batteries (a bit brighter at max but likely mostly longer run time; have not timed this) as well as (c) common much more expensive (over time) non-rechargeable AA batteries, (2) is suitable for carrying in ones pocket because it has a lock-out function, (3) has rapid user choice of 3 very different light output modes, (4) is rated for water submersion to 2 meters and (5) indicates battery charge state. Con: Indicates battery state in an irritating way (my view) by a series of max brightness flashes (would have preferred minimum brightness) when placed into or taken of lock-out mode (may not have these details quite correct at present). Workaround: Always cover light end with other hand when changing into or out of lockout mode.Read full review

This Klarus MI7Ti light has the minimum lumin output necessary to permit my night time walks on moonless nights AND that output lasts for 67 hours using a rechargeable lithium battery (14500). So I only need to charge the battery once every week. I’ve given over a dozen of these gems as gifts to friends who want or need portable night time illumination.

Extremely bright with the 14500 battery. Very durable finish. High quality and it feels good in the hand. It's the brightest most compact flashlight I've ever owned. Brighter than my 3 "C" cell mag light.

The dim mode is called Moonlight, yet it bright enough to allow my 74 year old eyes to tell me what to avoid stepping in on my night time walks around my neighborhood.
