Brand new in the box...but if you're buying this for a pristine box, this is not it. The box has damage to it as you can see in the photos. Train is still inside, and box has only been opened in the top to make sure the certificate was still inside (it is, and is still in the wrapper). All in all, great vintage toy, still in the box.
