I bought this book because I was tired of the limited selection of packaged bread machine mixes on the market. I was very surprised with all the different and unusual recipes, as well as old favorites. There are 80 recipes for loaves and shaped breads as well as rolls. There are ingredient tips and substitutions, metric cooking tips, US to metric pan sizes, equivalents and more. I found the section "Converting Your Favorite Recipes" very helpful since I have alot of old traditional bread recipes. I would like the book better if it had more pictures of the finished product. I'd recommend this cook book to anyone.
I have been baking bread using the recipes in this book for almost two years. I LOVE it. Now I'm ordering it for my granddaughters. It has tips for the beginning machine bread maker and literally tells you all you need to know. I have tried other books and they just don't measure up. Better Homes and Gardens has done it again! First the greatest everyday cookbook on record and now the bread machine test. Kudos to them!
