I bought this book mainly for my wife as we have other Peterson cookbooks and they are equally as great. This book seems to have a Plethora of good sounding recipes. I am a lover of Bertucci's (Italian restaurant chain)sausage soup and I found a similar one within Peterson's book, so this alone made the book worthwhile. As I glanced through the book itself it is nicely published, i.e, font is the right size while cooking and looking over at the book, photos are of excellent quality. So with our limited use of the book I recommended it as Peterson work is top notch.
This was the 4th James Peterson cookbook that I have purchased and it is as well written as the prior 3. It covers everything from the standards to many new recipes I had never considered. You need to be ready to try a different outlook for some of his recipes. His approach to creating and presenting some soups is different than what I feel most are willing to do. If you take the time to prepare (which includes shopping for quality ingredients) and follow his guidelines, you will discover that soup can be much more than something that has been created in a crockpot.

Borrowed this book from a friend to copy a few recipes...but I liked so many of them that I decide to buy my own copy! Delicious sounding recipes, organized by type (i.e. veg, crustacean, cream, etc.)there are recipes from all over the world in this. If you only buy one soup book, this is it.
