I'll get right to the point: Someone gets killed or badly hurt in almost every 20-minute story. Death by freezing, getting shot, the guillotine, getting chomped by a lion, or eaten by a shark. Not what I expected from Jack London, but I can't say it was boring. Lots of stories about sled dogs and hard times in the cold Alaskan Yukon, but there are other settings as well. If you like blood you'll find it here. I bought these stories to pass the hours driving an 18-wheeler throughout the US, but they are rather depressing and nobody ever gets rescued.
Jack London has some very interesting short stories. Every story has a different narrator which makes all the cd's fun to listen to. " Leapord Man " is great. " A Piece Of Steak " is really well done ( no pun attended ).
