One of the most underrated bands of all-time are southern rockers, Tora Tora. The band, based out of Memphis, Tennessee, put out a couple of relatively successful albums with Surprise Attack and Wild America. Unfortunately with the rise of grunge around 1993, they were dropped like many other bands from the late 80s-early 90s era. In fact, the third album they released Revolution Day wasn't released until years later due to a lack of a label. Finally that record got released and Tora Tora in recent years have begun to get active again including releasing a few years ago the very good "The Bastards of Beale" album. As is always the case with Tora Tora, the vocals are stellar and the musicianship is excellent. Tora Tora, in actual fact, were always a Bluesy hard rock band and never really a party band. Songs like Son of a Prodical Son have mature lyrics but still plenty of great guitar riffs and the band still contains all four original members. This album is great and flash forward to 2023, they are working on a new album and singer Anthony Corder is putting out some solo Acoustic tracks currently and doing some touring (check out Anthony Corder Official on You Tube for information and to hear some acoustic stuff) with a new hard rock Tora Tora album in 2024 and full band tour. Glad they are still rocking!Read full review
