As a long time drummer / percussionist, my hearing is less than perfect. That being said, I compared these against a Shure SM 58S, and I personally can't tell any difference. The SM 58S does have an on / off switch, but not everyone really wants that feature anyways. Also included in this package are mic clips, cables and tri pod stands. The cables are a little bigger in dia., but are the "soft" type that lay flat on the stage. The stands are also of good quality, and I'm very happy with this product. Price is excellent, nothing bad here at all, highly recommended, thank you.

i bought 3 samson r21 dynamic microphone couple off weeks ago because i need it a replacement for my very old mic's , i was looking for something good whit a budget so the samson looks like good quality at very low price . im a professional working musician singer i play out 6 night's every week with my full live band a duo band and a solo act, my range of music goes from reggae, rock, pop, rythm'blues, and opera so i needed a flexible round the clock microphone. now after i've been working with the samson r21 for sometimes i am happy with the quality /price is excellent is a very clean sharp mic with a good bass response and a loud presence, plus the 3 mic package come with a hard plastic mic case and 3 mic clips, that keep them safe and dry . so far im very satisfied and if you are looking for a good microphone with a budget the samson r 21 will make you smile everytime you sing .well done samson !!!Read full review
Over the last couple of years I decided to try out new mic's. In determining what mic's I would buy only came after reading the spec's for different mic's,and the cost would also factor into my decision. It was then that I decided to order the Samson R21 Dynamic Cable Professional Microphones from Samson Technologies. These mics are ruggely constructed and reveil qualities only found in higher priced mic's I've use in the past. The off-axis of these mics is excellent for a mic in this price range. The stage volume without feedback was my first & foremost concern.Guess what, they lived up to the high volume without feedback, and were easy to ring into the mix.The people in the audience had no problem hearing the vocals the way they were meant to be heard. If I was impressed with these mic's, the only thing left for me to do was to buy more of them, and I did. What a great mic for the buck. SoundbyDale.Read full review
My church needed a different type of microphones than those they were using. These type R21's reduced our feedback problem to the point that it was reduced to almost zero, even when the sound was turned up much higher that we could do with the old microphones. They were non-directional, and amplified everything from all directions equally, causing some serious feedback problems. The much tighter cone pattern of the R21 picks up sound primarily in front of the microphone, and not much elsewhere. This type of microphone was an obvious solution, and it solved our problem. The audio quality was very good also. The R21's match our sound system perfectly. I find no fault with these microphones. I was a professional radio broadcaster for many years, and although these R21's are not like the broadcast quality microphones I used as a professional, they are an excellent choice for this, and other applications. In my work, I used a microphone that I selected specifically to enhance the quality of my own voice. I worked in several broadcasting stations over the years. One station I worked at had a coverage area of 5 U.S. states and 3 provinces of Canada. You HAD to sound GOOD when working in an environment where literally millions of people in cities such as Boston or new York U.S.A., or Quebec or Montreal Canada (among other places) could be listening at any given time. Many people these days have a very discerning ear, and they pick up imperfections in your voice as they listen to your broadcast or public address system! Many broadcasters and public speakers solve this problem by selecting a microphone and equipment suitable to their personal vocal requirements, just as I once did. Even thought I'm now retired, I still have the microphone I used professionally. If I had the need again, I would certainly consider buying again from this company. Many of their products reach the high standards required for professional quality broadcast/recording studio work, or professional public entertainment equipment applications. The quality of their equipment that is intended for for non-professional applications, is also quite good. Believe me. I spent HOURS looking at ALL of it, before I made my selection! The low prices and high quality can't be beat! I would recomend this companys quality products to anyone, especially if your on a tight budget, and need to buy good stuff WITHOUT loosing your shirt (or more) in the process!Read full review
3 mics of solid quality for the price of 1! Who can argue? Not I said the cow! I used these for an alternative to my cordless mics which always tend to get lost or loose pieces. Either that, or people walk too far out of a clean line of site, loose reception and blame the DJ for crappy sound!! I got these and 2x50' cables I am totally satisfied. At this cost, I'm not worried about a little scratch and dent because I have 2 more in a nifty little carrying case. I can also take my cordless MICS and work a full sound event from my turntables and save the cordless batteries for real singers or MC's and let the opening act use the throw aways. The price is cheap, they sound great and outside of an on/off switch, I have nothing but good reviews for this purchase! I'm saying don't think about getting these vs. any other mics, just buy em' and they'll be well worth the time and money, no question!Read full review
