Nothing fancy here but it does the job, and if you keep your water level up, it does the job quietly. The filters are available at Walmart for under $3, and last a month. You have to replace them every month. Also you want to clean film occasionally off the water flow area returning to the tank. Simply wipe it off with a cloth. Good little filter for 5-20 gal. If you have a 20 gal. tank with many fish, I see the need for a larger model filter. My filter only deals with one large goldfish and does just fine.

I bought a 30gal pump to go in my 20gal tank to make sure I had plenty filtration. Well first off when opening the box it didn’t come with any filters so I couldn’t even set it up when I got it I went to my local pet store to give a few filters to try it out. Once I get everything ready I plug it in and it made this terrible grinding and gurgling noise it never could pump the water I even tried filling the pump with water to help it get started but nope didn’t help. I don’t recommend buying this as I am a very experienced fish goer and this was very frustrating and disappointing.

The filter has a powerful motor and good water flow. I have a 20 gallon tank next to my bedand it helps me sleep.

It makes a really loud ratting noise. I had to keep cutting it on and off and moving the tube to even get it to start. The parts don't fit like there supposed to. I DONT recommend this!

This is what I get for trying to find a less expensive filter. It didn’t even last an entire day. SUPER LOUD and then it never moved any water at all. Died entirely within one day. Just spend more money on a decent pump/filter. This one is just awful. I can’t give zero stars or I would.
