Every true CNC man should have one in their tool box.
Been using one of these for years. As long as you keep coolant out of it (duh), it will give years of trouble free service. Easily calibrated, and eliminates the need for the use of paper, shim stock, etc., when setting tools. Since it's magnetic, you can use it for mills or lathes. I have tried to use the the new fangled tool setters with the indicator light, and they are neither as reliable or accurate.Been using one of these for years.
