As others have stated, this a very good " Bang For Your Buck" phono cartridge. I have tried other P mount cartridges on my Technics SL-QD3 but either the sound wasn't right ( rolling off at high frequency) or noticeable sibilance at higher frequencies. After reading the reviews on this phono cartridge I decided to try my luck. All I can say is WOW! This cartridge is the best cartridge I've ever had on this turntable. No massive roll off or sibilance in the high frequencies. For being a bi radial cartridge it sounds pretty close to my hyper-ridge Shure HRS 1200 cartridge. That cartridge is a line contact stylus and closely sounds like that. I'm really impressed with this cartridge and recommend getting this for your P mount style tone arm while supplies last.

I don't claim to be an audiophile, this review is coming from a layman that has tried 4 different cartridges on the same turntable, a mint condition Technics SL-B300.. I mean it looks and acts like brand new.. The first cartridge is what came with it, a Technics P-23. It did ok, but I thought there had to be something better.. I was scanning eBay and came across a Technics P-33 The P-33 was much better on the mid an high-end, but was really weak on the low end. Then I bought a NOS Shure M92E and stylus ... It's mid is awesome, an I would recommend it if you play a lot of mono or very old records. With this cartridge, I can tell you that it's range is 20 - 17000 mkz , and I thought it was dull sounding for my tastes, so then I tried the cartridge I am writing this review for.... The Audio-Technica AT450!! This is just my opinion, but I think this cartridge is FANTASTIC!! So much so, that I'm going back and re-recording all the records that I recorded with the P-33. Let me put it this way, the other cartridges I've mentioned, versus AT450, is like comparing AM to FM... NO EXAGGERATION! First off, the stylus is a "nude" diamond, meaning that it's not a diamond "tip" but a complete diamond from the cantilever down. Second, it's frequency range is 10 - 27,000 mkz. This cartridge maywell breathe new life into your vinyl collection 😊 Read full review

This is a topnotch vintage Audio Technica cartridge that must have been found in King Tut's tomb or in the Count of Monte Cristo's treasure cave, for it is indeed rare and valuable. It's quite a find. For those who don't know, this cartridge was designed for "p-mount" turntables, mainly made by Technics initially 40 years ago. The "p" stands for "plug" as in "plug & play". No fiddly measurements or adjustments to make. Just plug the cartridge into the turntable tonearm, lock it in with the (usually) supplied screw, and start playing records. You'll get great music in a truly simple, easy way. P.S.---Just check eBay, Audiogon or Audio Mart for p-mount turntables. Though they're not in production anymore, you can still find used ones in excellent condition at all of those places. If you get really lucky, you might even find one still sealed and un-used in its original box! P.P.S.---This particular cartridge model is a "universal" design, with an adapter for a standard, non-p-mount turntable, in case you want to set it up that way. In any event, it's a great sounding cartridge and, like many of the records it will play, an "oldie but a goodie".Read full review

Delivery was quick. Was giving a technics turntable that used the p mount cartridge. Never had a table that used that style cartridge before. I inquired which would be a good cartridge to use on a hi fi forum and was told to try a at450. Set up was very easy with only tracking force to adjust. It sounds great on my system. Vintage Kenwood receiver and pioneer hpm 1500 speakers. later on I'll use the adapter and install it on my Kenwood turntable just to see how it sounds . Surprised to know that there are still new old stock cartridges out there. Impressed.

This is Top Notch. Especially at this price. You are not going to find a higher-quality cartridge on the market today for this kind of price. If you haven't already found one of these you should look around. Even if you have to buy a replacement stylus for it you're going to be way ahead of the game. These are truly remarkably well made good sounding cartridges. I'd stand them up against any cartridge that's on the market today that cost several hundreds of dollars. They are that good.
