Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Best Selling in Compact & Shelf Stereos
This little stereo came with everything needed, including batteries for the remote, speaker wires and an antenna. Bluetooth was easy to set up and the tuner was receptive. The sound was much bigger than you'd expect from the small speakers. It won't overpower a large room but did fill a standard sized room very well. The only annoying quirk was trying to set the radio presets. You have to press a program/set button and the preset + or - to set the station. If you click too fast it will change channels, too slowly and it will exit program mode. Give it about 1 second between presses and it works well. Not a huge deal since you only have to do it once, but hopefully detailing my challenge will save you from any hassles.

I think the sound quality is good when using blue tooth, but I just like to listen to radio music and that is not so easy to do. I also wish it was easier to program.

I like everything about it except that you can't change radio stations with any of the buttons on the front of the unit; you have to use the remote. It seems to have good FM reception. CDs play well and sound good. I haven't used the Bluetooth or other inputs yet.

If your looking for a small player for your cd's then this one will be a good choice. It's not super loud but it does sound ok and easy to use and compact. If you want better sound be prepared to pay several hundred.

This Pioneer bookshelf stereo replaced a much larger and more expensive Sony, but the AM reception is so much better on the Pioneer. We live in a fringe area of Pittsburgh and the AM on the Sony was very intermittent. The Pioneer AM is a good as an FM station. We are very happy with the sound quality of the CD player as well. We would recommend this system to anyone.
