My phone fell off a table while it was inside a new case, and to make a long story short, it wouldn't respond to touch input. I took it to a repair store and was quoted $50 labor plus the part, (if they could find it), so I decided to research how to repair it myself. As a medically retired automotive technician, I have applied the knowledge and experience with working on automobiles to all facets of my life. Having diagnosed and repaired many electronics problems in automobiles, I figured this was a cinch. I found this screen and digitizer on ebay, and then watched a video on taking apart a BlackBerry Z10. I made up my mind to repair it my self and bought the part. I took the phone apart to check the LCD number on the back of the digitizer, and also to see how difficult it was to do, (it was quite easy with the tool kit I had). I then reassembled most of it so I wouldn't lose the tiny screws, leaving the screen and digitizer out for comparison. When I received the part, I compared it to my part and was satisfied that it was the same. I then disassembled the phone again, installed the new screen and digitizer, then reassembled the phone and turned it on. It came on and I was able to navigate my phone with no difficulties. This part was a lifesaver because had I switched back to it from my Z30 just a week prior because all three of the speakers in the Z30 have a lot of static that make it very difficult to hear anything. This was the right part at the right time, and the price could not be beat. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a screen and digitizer, whether they are going to repair their phone themselves, or take their phone along with this to a phone repair store for them to repair it. The only thing I have a question about is that this looks like it was removed from a phone, it doesn't look like a new part as listed in the item specifics. The digitizer had scratches on the back, (the shiny mirror-like surface), and there were other things that I can't remember at this time that made me think it was a part salvaged from another phone. Not that it matters, because it could have been removed from a brand new never-sold Z10, and it would still be considered a new item.Read full review

I bought this to repair a Z10. The mid frame is not for a Verizon phone (STL-100-4). Screen works great but if you are also having a problem with the speaker phone (loud speaker) this is not what you want. I am still waiting to purchase the correct part at this time. If you use the mid frame that come with this in a Verizon phone the speaker phone will no longer work. This is a great deal if all you need is a screen and back for the phone.
