It's a Nokia, that alone tells you how reliable and unbreakable it is... For starters, it has a removable/replaceable battery, holds a SD card for additional memory, great camera, runs many apps at the same time, decent battery life and has an indestructible front screen. I have dropped this poor phone so many times on the streets, sidewalks, marble bathroom floors, from windows, off desk tops; I have tripped and sent the phone flying out of my hands only to see it bounce, the back of the case jettisoned in one direction and the battery in the other and the phone itself ricochet off the sidewalk and skid into the street. And the only damage that came from all of this clumsiness? some minor scrapes on the corners of the phone case, not one scratch on the screen. I LOVE this phone. So many of the features are envied by the people I know that have iPhones or Androids; live tiles, customizable tiles for the people I contact most often that I can then "pin" to my start screen, etc. The only negative thing I can say about this phone is that there aren't as many apps as other operating systems have, but I still wouldn't trade it for any other phone. I have had a Nokia phone since back in the flip phone days, and this one I've had for almost 2 years. Best phone ever.Read full review

Compared to the Lumia 620 I have been using, it feels decidedly down-market, especially the back cover. Due to sharp corners it's actually painful to hold it if one has medium size hands, the square edges pinch on your palm, and trying to use it with one hand is likely to give you carpal tunnel. The OS itself works nicely and smooth, I upgraded to Windows 10 so I could use Skype and other apps that quit on 8.1, but unless you have large hands and don't mind a cheap looking device that feels like one when you hold it, better pass on the 830.

It has all the apps that I need. I still like WP8.1 better than WM10. This phone is the perfect size and battery life gets me through more than a day with moderate use. That's with emails syncing, FB, Twitter, and news feeds. The camera is one of the best hands down. Shots taken in low lighting are the best, even with no flash. This is one of the reasons I bought this to replace the 830 that I broke. Only thing I'd like to see are apps for Snapchat and Uber for Uber-drivers. Cheers, Chuck.

It is certainly not up to the standard of the latest from Microsoft, but it can help you get by until you have the funds to afford a new Lumia 950 XL. The camera is nice, the performance is quite adequate. Now, if only AT&T would get their act together and push Windows 10 to this device.

Great phone with a great camera, runs on windows 8.1. The only thing is to make sure your phone comes unlock. I had a tough time getting the phone unlock and cost over $50. After that it was a snap to transfer my data from my old phone viva Bluetooth. The screen not to big or to small. Everything you want in a smart phone is there. Cortana is a personal assistant thats finds, tracks, and manages and works quite well. The camera alone is worth it. Runs on lumia denim software with creative studio, storyteller, cinemagraph and more. Makes it fun to take pictures.
