I should have done more homework. It appears these Linksys devices are Vista based and tend to lock up when playing the stream from a Windows "7" Media Center. So take that in if you are thinking of buying one. You need to reboot it a lot and you lose your position and have to restart the recording from the beginning.

I am still hope full that it will work to my expectations but it has been about what I should have expected from a Microsoft partner!

I used this device to connect to a Windows 7 PC. I am able to easily stream Recorded TV including Copy Protected recordings with no issues. The DMA2200 model I purchased also includes DVD playing capability which is an advantage over the DMA2100 model. The installation took less than 10 minutes and it was a simple process to connect with the Windows 7 PC.
