This model is perfect for high school students, college grads and even mobile professionals. It is the first Windows device I've own bc I'm an Apple Fanboy and I've never had to change my style until I got my recent job as a Mortgage Lo Processor. I'm on salary which means I can work from home and still get paid for the same amount of money. I had this variant and I had no problems with it except it would lag sometimes and crash. But that's only bc I have 6 windows up and I'm looking at 6 different documents and comparing it to each other. Right now I have upgraded to the i7 processor with 8GB ram bc I needed more speed and less hang ups and lag. This was my first SP and I loved it. It was so much better than the iPad Pro 12.9" which was my other option but the thing is that the app that I use to process mortgages using IE11 only so I had to go out and get me a Windows laptop bc we all know there is no Internet Explorer on any devices and I needed that browser. It's compact, light and a workhorse, what more can you ask of a tablet pc that's in this price range. Sure you have to get the keybaord/cover for it but if you don't have a need for a keyboard then you should just go with the iPad Pro bc they're just easier to work with and less amount of junk in your tablet. I still don't know whether to call this a tablet or a laptop bc it's a little bit of both. I love how you can run native MS apps without having to download an app to use it. I have been using the Surface Pro for 3 months and I think MS really nailed the nail on the head when they came out with this device. I am no longer just an Apple Fanboy. I love Apple but it can't do what I need it to do so I had to go with a windows device and I'm very surprised at how much work it can do in such little time. Read full review

I have the Newest SP. I bought it on Best Buy. I have the i5/4GB/128GB model. I only needed to use it for work and we use a cloud based app that only works on IE11 and Microsoft is the only OS that uses IE11. I am an Apple fanboy but the SP is one of the best buy's I've ever made. It was cheaper than the iPad Pro 12.9" model, I know bc I have both and the SP wins in the contest for which is more useful for my work. I can't work on my MacBook Pro 13" that I got back in 2012 but it still runs perfectly and if it had worked with IE11 then I wouldn't have purchased the SP. I also have an iPad mini and that doesn't even stack up to these two devices although I've used that more than I have the SP bc I've had it longer. I love the fact the SP has a USB port and a thunderbolt port for external monitors. I like how it is like a laptop but also acts as a tablet too but can run any windows 10 software. With a SP you can just do so much more work and the iPad Pro is more for play. It has some features that is similar to a window's device but it's not the same. I appreciate the SP more bc it's been able to do what I needed it to do and more. However, the battery life could be better. I supposed that's bc the keyboard that attaches to the tablet uses battery and the SP just isn't big enough to last you a whole day of work without having to charge it. I could use my iPad Mini the whole day without charging it but the keyboard that I bought from Zagg is not connected to the iPad and has it's own battery. Instead it drains the battery of the iPad bc it uses BT to connect. The SP's keyboard lights up and is attached to the tablet so again, it's probably why the tablet doesn't last that long. I can maybe get 4 or 5hrs of work out of it and then it needs to be charged again. However, I do like how you can turn the backlights on and off to conserve battery. If you're in the marked to getting a new laptop/computer then opt for the SP bc it's lightweight, user friendly and extremely powerful and can use the same apps like a normal laptop/computer so I would consider it a laptop. There's never been a time where I couldn't do something on the SP and had the need to use a desktop. I do wish that I can get a full day of usage out of it and then recharge but I guess the SP is not there yet. I give the tablet an A+Read full review

Added the Microsoft keyboard cover, BT mouse and 256 G card for more storage. Set it up to install new apps and save document, music and pictures the D drive. I love how fast it boots up, but most of all I love the fact that I can use my favorite Windows software wherever I go. Well worth the price.
