I love Nespresso, it's convenient and easy, but.... the capsules are an environmental disaster. They are impossible to recycle and non-biodegradable. When I saw this product I bought it immediately. I've just tried it for the first time and give it top marks. I'm going to play around with different blends as the one I tried came out a little weaker than a normal nespresso, but that is my taste, nothing to do with the product. And if your prime motivation isn't the environment, think about the economic advantages and the flexibility of flavours you can experiment with. I'll be recommending this to EVERYBODY I know who has a Nespresso machine

Bought to see what they're like. Used 5g (same as genuine nespresso pod) of espresso ground coffee (2 level scoops). Tamped with back of scoop. Extracted well out of my nespresso U machine with no leaks or jamming. Main problem after 2 uses with one is the mesh started to bulge and detach from the sides. Not a massive issue just means a few grains in your shot. They're a bit fussy to clean and fill. I printed a small funnel that helps filling. At roughly 45p each should get more than 45 uses so will save you money and contribute to less plastic waste.

I tried so hard to get this to produce a good cup of coffee to reduce pod waste but failed. My machine has developed a leak and apparently it’s due to using non Nespresso pods !

Makes a very weak coffee even though bought good quality coffee. Seems like the coffee can't be penetrated properly with the water - maybe the perforation holes are too small. Would not buy again and I'm going to have to revert to disposable pods again which isn't good for the planet!
