When I first plugged in the unit and tried to control a power drill, the minimum speed was close to 50% of drills max speed. This was very frustrating as I needed a incrementally slow start speed for my application. Did a little research online and found that the unit has a potentiometer adjustment screw located on the left hand side of the circuit board when looking at unit from the back. Was able to fully adjust the speed to a slow start and unit the unit works perfectly now! The owners manual does not address this issue however. Thank you!

Would only work when switch was in "full speed" position. Why the hell do you need this if you intend to run in full speed all the time? When in variable speed mode, it won't control motor below high speed position, then the motor "pulses"and won't run smoothly. Don't waste your money on this piece of garbage! After trying on a couple other motors with the same results, it went straight in the trash. And yes,, they were brushed motors.
