Attempted to dye upholstery by painting on 3 coats over the top of dark grey. Unfortunately the finish wasn't great and the colour transfers even when dry. No fault of seller though and I can't really blame the product as I couldn't use it as directed. Fast delivery was great

Product worked very well and dyed a very faded waxed cotton Barbour jacket to look almost new. FYI I did wash the coat thoroughly beforehand and used a galvanised 10 litre steel bucket on the stove top with very hot water and about 400g of cooking salt. It worked almost immediately but I kept agitating the item in the hot water for about 10 minutes, followed by a lot of rinsing in cold water and then another wash in the machine.

Unfortunately the description doesn’t say another product is needed to retain the dye on cotton. Also need a cup of salt! Found this out on the dye container. Next time I’ll try Dylan fabric dye. Arrived when promised and well packed.
