As a game, this isn't the worst I've ever played but it's far from great. Not the Double Dragon you'd expect when you've got great home ports for the Sega Master System and the NES. If you're a Double Dragon fan it's certainly something interesting to see and is a unique piece for any retro game collection, it's not a very common title as it was released in the late 80s way, way, way, after interest in the Atari 2600 had already faded In the mainstream, just don't expect to experience any thrills from the before mentioned versions.

Ever wonder what Double Dragon would look like on the Atari 2600. Well it was released for this system back in the 80's. Activision produced the cart and they did a great job on everthing except gameplay. Get ready to get the crap beat out of you. I mean it. It took me a whole day just to get past the first screen. Once you get hit the enemies will not stop hitting you. There is no special flash after you get hit so you can move to safety. No, your guy gets up and he is vulnerable just like in a real fight. The game is very impressive for the Atari 2600 standards and there is music through out the whole game, well as far has I can get. It is a rarity of 5 so you might have to dish out a little bit of cash for this cart. It is worth having. Thanks, Master K
