The follow-up to AOE II is good, but trying to surpass, or even equal, the gameplay and storyline of its predecessor is a feat unto itself. Unfortunately, AOE III doesn't quite live up to the standard of AOE II. The graphics are better in the sequel, but overall, the second installment in the AOE empire is the best and the third edition is not as good. The expansion packs are a nice addition, though. They add to the storyline and make the overall experience fun and compelling.

I have mixed feelings about this game. Since I work off a Mac laptop I have a mouse pad instead of a separate mouse. The game calls for using right clicking for many actions which involves holding two fingers on the scroll pad while hitting the mouse. This makes the game very complicated to play. Basically it is a PC game adapted for Mac rather than a Mac game. That being said everything else is as advertised - the graphics are crisp, the video quality excellent. The tutorial is short but gets you started. All in all I am not convinced I will actually play the game very often due to the complexities of mastering the mouse adaptation.
I finally found a Macsoft copy and I freakin love it!!!!!

I love the software, but, like most Microsoft products, I found a substantial bug pretty quick. The software just abended out of the middle of nowhere and I lost my game in the middle. Failed twice like this so far.
A+ seller. Product worked exactly as advertised. My son really enjoys playing this game...has a good mix of fun and strategy.
