Compared to every other Bill and Ted game that came out around the time of the release of “Bogus Journey” this game is very high class... and, of course, that’s not saying much. De Nomolos (Ed Solomon spelled backward) has hidden weird stuff all across time and has hypnotized all of Bill and Ted’s temporal pals to want to kill the rock ‘n’ roll saviors of the future, and the player plays as both Bill and Ted who have to go across time collecting the weird stuff and avoiding being killed by their hypnotized friends. The graphics are a bit skimpy but there is a plot and you don’t have to go traipsing around fields and jumping into trees to find stuff. Both Bill and Ted seem to use identical sprites, the historical figured all have giant caricature heads except Joan of Arc who has mysteriously gigantic bosoms; but Bill and Ted on the title screen and during the cut scenes appear highly reminiscent of Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. It has more of a puzzle aspect recalls of but handles rather different from the gameplay in the 1995 release of “Donkey Kong” on Gameboy. If you don’t want to feel like an idiot jumping around into trees and bushes all day but still want to play Bill and Ted, this is a viable alternative; there is a two player option but I have not had the opportunity to try it.Read full review
