It worked perfectly when I got it and tested it with both of my PS2 controllers. However, since PS2 controllers have pressure sensitive buttons, the back zl and zr buttons could not be registered on it unless I pressed a bit harder than usual all the time. I heard this problem can be solved with a PS1 DualShock controller but since I don't have one, I can't tell you for sure until I order one and test it out. Everything else seemed to go along pretty nice but still be aware that the 4 button layout is still a bit different. It goes like this: "A" goes to "X" on PS2, "B" to square, "X" on Gamecube to circle on PS2, and "Y" to triangle. Since the games were not designed to have an effect on pressing the analog sticks, the L3 and R3 buttons will do nothing as well as the select and analog buttons. Besides from that, the L1 and R1 are basically the Z button translation. This is the best way to play your GameBoy Player on the GCN and all your other games along with those Wii/WiiWare compatible games and Virtual Console as well.Read full review
