If you grew up in the 1980's, there is nothing like owning your very own classic arcade game. The uprights have classic styling with great side graphics but my personal preference is the cocktail table style models. Many classic arcade games such as Centipede have been re-released to play on brand new dedicated upright and cocktail table arcade cabinets. Teamplay released a combination of Centipede, Millipede and Missle Command on one arcade game machine. By owning this one machine you can play all three games. Another great idea is to buy an Arcade Factory RetroTable. You can search eBay using "Arcade Factory Cocktail Table" to find them. They are a great deal because they are built with a Universal JAMMA connector. Having a JAMMA connector not only allows it to play Centipede, Millipede and Missle Command, but any JAMMA compatible game board. You can collect all the favorites from the 1980's to extend the fun of your arcade game. When buying an arcade game on eBay you should use caution. I recommend buying a new game over a refurbished model. Since the original Centipede arcade games were manufactured in the 1980's the ones still around today have old electronics that are prone to problems. Repairs can be costly and parts hard to find. You don't save money in the long run. Look for a new game from a reputable seller with excellent feedback. Look for eBay's Top Rated Seller emblem. Make sure the game has a warranty of a least a year. Find out what the warranty covers and who backs it up. Make sure the company will be around if you ever need a repair. The Arcade Factory RetroTable is sold with a 5 year warranty covering all parts including the expensive ones, the monitor and main system circuit board. ONE BIG THING TO AVOID Many sellers offer these games with used computer monitors rather than real arcade monitors. Some don't disclose this. Always ask. Real arcade monitors are built to last decades. The life span of computer monitors or LCDs is only a few years. Buying an arcade game is an expensive investment and you want it to last a lifetime. Ask plenty of questions and do your research before buying. A low price does not always make it the best buy.Read full review
