GTC Africa is a rally racing game that takes place across 19 different countries, from Egypt, to Morocco, to South Africa, and everywhere in between. The Championship mode takes racers on a virtual tour of the continent, providing a brief overview that encompasses population, terrain, and other information about the countries prior to each race. After signing with a team and picking from the initial offering of licensed vehicles, you're tasked with winning three events in each country in order to advance. Progressing through the championship season will unlock new vehicles and additional countries.

The game features nine vehicles from manufacturers such as Subaru, Ford, and Mitsubishi, all possessing unique acceleration, grip, speed, and handling ratings. In addition to acquiring championship points, players will need to ensure their team status remains high by performing well during races. Below average performance coupled with significant vehicle damage will decrease the team's status. The effect of all this is that there's less time to complete a race; a higher team status affords more time.

Despite the continent's somewhat arid climate, racers will find themselves competing on twisting, obstacle-laden courses composed of snow, as well as the more expected mud, gravel, sand, and tarmac terrain types. Practice and Single Race modes are offered for those looking to bone up on their rallying skills or simply for a quick fix, while the Challenge mode provides a selection of 15 time-trial races spread across several disciplines, such as hill climbing and checkpoint racing. Two players can compete in split-screen view.

One of the worst off road games I have played definately NOT Gran Tourismo!
The game descriptions claim this works with a steering wheel,(main reason I bought it). It does NOT work with the logitek GT wheel, not sure if others work but I dought it. Graphics are below average at best, races are on very short tracks. Its so easy a cave man could do it!I was hoping it would be something like Gran Tourismo off road, it is not even close.There are only a few cars to choose from and you are very limited on modifications. Very dissapointed that I bought it

How can you not love a Rally racing game???????????????? The graphics are even better on PS3 with HDMI output........ I love it.............
