Megaman IV for the original gameboy is truly one of the best games of the gameboy series. It has all the elements that fans have come to love from the previous games. However, this game introduces a shop where you can get weapon upgrades. This is a welcome addition of an already impressive game. What really sets this game apart from the others are the cutscenes throughout the gameplay. For instance, the robot intro has a lightning effect, and there is one cutscene where Megaman fights a Dr. Wiley vehicle and then teleports into the actual stage. It is a hard to find game, but I feel that it is every worth its penny!
What's not to love here? The Mega Man series on the Gameboy are true gems, and shouldn't be missed. This one in particular, is the first in GB line of Mega Man games that I played. I loved every minute of it. Unfortunately, my original copy was stolen long ago, and I've been wanting to get another copy ever since. GB graphics and sound don't hurt this title in the least. The memorable music of the NES versions of MM4 and 5 translate well, and the graphics are classic Mega Man style through and through. This version of Mega Man 4 adds a new character to the Mega Man universe, Ballade Man, as well as a nice plot and ending. Highly recommended for anyone willing to give the ol' GB games a whirl, or want some classic Mega Man in your life. In either case, you can't go wrong with this one.Read full review

Mega Man IV is a great game. The first part was a little easy, but the second part is very challenging. Somewhat expensive, but worth the money if you are really into Mega Man, like I am. It's even better on a super gameboy for the snes. This is the only Mega Man game that I know of, where the charged shot kicks back, which can send over the edge. But that's easily avoidable.
