I got this game for really cheap so I thought I would try it out as I played a lot of MK on the arcades in my younger days. There are two games in this one cart so this review will be split. The MK I game is below average for sure. The graphics are not too bad for the Gameboy but the music is repetitive and annoying. However it is the actual gameplay which is the biggest disappointment. The controls are just not very responsive and there is considerable slowdown. The finishing moves are next to impossible... I have only been able to do Liu Kang's. Overall I give this a 3 out of 10. The MK II game is better in almost all regards... the graphics are a bit better and the music is still subpar but a bit more tolerable. The controls are much more responsive although far from ideal. The game is also tough to beat so get ready for some frustration. Considering the limitations of the GB system this is a decent game. The finishing moves are still tough to execute but they are at least possible. Overall I would give this a 6.5 out of 10.Read full review
Double the fun for one low price. Thank you Mortal Kombat for putting 2 of my favorite games on one easy to use cd. This game is a must have!!!!!!!!!
I enjoyed this game and always played with my friends in junior high and high school. I was brought up in the 90's and can forget all these games. I play whenever. I get good memories as I play. I loved the 90's. It is a good game which I will always enjoy.
